The Move Tool... (Shortcut M key)

The move tool is used with layers and does exactly what it's name suggests, you merely click and hold the left mouse button down and drag/move the selected layer in any direction... This tool can also be used to drag one open image on top of another open image to create a sandwiched image..

The Hand Tool... (Shortcut H key)

The hand tool is used to navigate round large images...
Once selected you merely click and hold the left mouse button down anywhere in the image and this allows you to move/drag the image in any direction...
If you double left click on the hand tool it will automatically fit the image to the screen...

• When you select the hand tool from the tools pallet the menu bar at the top changes to the one shown above giving you various options...
There are three preset options to alter the size that you can view the image at and these are:-
• Actual Pixels, which will enlarge the image to 100% showing the actual pixels...
• Fit On Screen, which automatically resizes the image either by enlarging it or shrinking it so its maximum length or width will fit in the screen...
• Print Size, which will display the image at the size it will print out... This may or may not fit on the screen depending on how big the the image is...
• An alternate way of bringing these options up is to right click the mouse button and it will bring up a window with them in...
• There is another option if you have more than one window tiled (open/in view) at the same time and this is to click the Scroll All Windows box to select it...
